Could drive expression of an anti-sense RNA to the 5' most 1kb of the chic pre-RNA (or drive expression of eIF-4a, situated 1.8kb away).

The P{EP}eIF-4aEP1011 insertion maps within chic. The insertion is also just upstream of eIF-4a, in the right orientation to drive overexpression of eIF-4a in the presence of a Scer\GAL4 driver.
