The mitotic cells from the brains of ver1/verS147910 and ver1/Df(3L)sex204 larvae show frequent telomeric associations. Both single telomeric associations (a single telomere associated with either its sister or a nonsister telomere) and double telomeric associations (a pair of sister telomeres associated with another pair) are seen. The mitotic cells from the brains of homozygous larvae show more frequent telomeric associations than those of ver1/verS147910 or ver1/Df(3L)sex204 larvae. Most of the telomeric associations seen in the homozygous larvae are double telomeric associations.

(with Df(3L)iro-2) lethal lethal | recessive

peo1, verS147910 double heterozygosity leads to telomeric fusions in larval neuroblasts.

The slightly reduced fertility of cavHipHop.T:Avic\GFP/Y;cav1/Df(3R)Exel6198 adult (cav1 rescue) males is moderately enhanced by combination with verS147910.

The increased number of abnormal spermatid nuclei (showing chromatin bridges) characteristic for adult cavHipHop.T:Avic\GFP;cav1/Df(3R)Exel6198 males is strongly enhanced by combination with Df(3R)ms(3)K81-2 in homozygous or, to a lesser degree, in heterozygous state. Enhancement of the abnormal nuclear phenotype is also observed upon combination with single copy of HipHop1 as well as verS147910 but the phenotype is not aggravated further by combination with heterozygous moi1 allele.
