When bratScer\UAS.cFa is driven by Scer\GAL4ey.PH in the developing eye, a dramatic decrease in eye size. When bratScer\UAS.cFa is driven by Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1, a 36% decrease in the size of the intervein region between LIII and LIV is seen compared to wild-type. However cell size appears to increase. When bratScer\UAS.cFa clones are made driven by Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP, the clones are seen to be smaller in size than their wild-type counterparts, but the cell size within these clones is slightly larger. Cells within clones have 50% longer doubling times than control cells.

When BacA\p35Scer\UAS.cHa is added to bratScer\UAS.cFa somatic clones (driven by Scer\GAL4Act5C.PP) cells within the clones become larger, but the overall clone size is reduced.
