Detailed Description
Statement
Reference

The position effect variegation of the w gene seen in P{lacW}50C.x6, In(1)wm4 and P{hsp26-pt-T}39C-72 is suppressed in Sir2ex10 heterozygotes. The position effect variegation of the w gene seen in P{hsp26-pt-T}39C-5 and P{hsp26-pt-T}39C-55 is not suppressed in Sir2ex10 heterozygotes. There is a marked decrease from the expected number of male progeny in the progeny of a cross between heterozygous males and females.
