      RanβTub85D.PK suppresses the segregation distortion phenotype caused by RanGAPβTub85D.PK in the presence of the "SD-5[R7]" chromosome (E(SD)1, Rspi, M(SD)1, St(SD)1) over a target homolog chromosome carrying Rspss. RanβTub85D.PK also suppresses the RanGAPSd independent segregation distortion phenotype of flies carrying chromosome SD-5[R7] (E(SD)1, Rspi M(SD)1 St(SD)1) / chromosome ReR-5 (E(SD)1 Rsps).

      ranβTub85D.PK completely suppresses the high level of segregation distortion against target chromosomes carrying Rsps or Rspss which is normally caused by RanGapSD (SD chromosomes tested are SD-5 and SD-Roma).
