Description

The Df(2R)Rpn62F deficiency fully removes the ave gene and partially deletes Rpn6 and CG10151.

Imprecise excision of the P{lacW} element, resulting in a 1901bp deletion that removes putative upstream regulatory sequence, the complete 5' UTR and sequences corresponding to amino acids 1-145 of Rpn6.

Homozygous embryos develop and hatch normally, but during the first and second instar, the larvae become immobile and sluggish and die without any observable defects. Homozygous clones in the eye induced in the second to early third instar are not recovered in adults.
