Further truncation of the Df(1)yTDF terminal deficiency, so that the Df(1)yTDF-2 deficiency ends at -3100bp relative to the y transcription start site. The end of the truncated chromosome is within the F-element present in yTDF.

      Body colour: flies carrying yTDF-2 (in a y- background) have a pigmentation score of 1 (where 1 = absence of y expression and 5 = wild type) in both the body and wing. Body colour: yTDF-2/y1#8 flies have a pigmentation score of 1 in both the body and wing. Body colour: yTDF-2/y59b flies have a pigmentation score of 1 in both the body and wing.
