fzP278L.Act5C.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP together with fzsevE3.SevP.PS, completely rescues the ommatidial polarity of fz15/Df(3L)fz-GF3b flies. fzsevE3.SevP.PS partially rescues the ommatidial polarity phenotype due to fz15/Df(3L)fz-GF3b : 15-25% of ommatidia have inverted dorsal-ventral polarity; 5-10% show anterior-posterior polarity defects; and ommatidia are occasionally mis-rotated. Rescue of anterior-posterior polarity defects and mis-rotation, is more complete at 18oC than at 25oC. fzsevE3.SevP.PS almost completely rescues the ommatidial polarity phenotypes of fz19/Df(3L)fz-GF3b flies (to 97% normal from 40% normal).
