Only 18% of testis somatic cyst stem cells show repositioning of the mitotic spindle during anaphase in males expressing MoeTA.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4C587 compared to 76% of cases in heterozygous controls.

Testis somatic cyst cell clones expressing MoeTA.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI only divide asymmetrically in 58% of cases (in contrast to 96% of cases in control somatic cyst cell clones), in the remainder of cases, both daughters attach to the hub.

While expression of MoeTA.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP using Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL fully rescues the wing phenotypes of MoePL106, it only partially rescues the viability, and fails to rescue the eye phenotypes.

The oocytes of MoeTA.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP; Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 at stage 8-9 have ectopic clumps of actin in the cytoplasm. In the nurse cells of MoeTA.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP; Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 or MoeTA.Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP-EGFP; Scer\GAL4Moe-PG26 females the actin filaments are dramatically rearranged from a cortical mesh into elaborate flower-like structures.
