microtubule & adherens junction, with Scer\GAL4btl.PS
When shgAAA-JXT.Scer\UAS is driven by Scer\GAL4btl.PS tracheal fusion at the adherens junction in the dorsal trunk is disrupted. F-actin appears disorganised in the fusion cells, or forms weaker tracks than seen in wild-type. The fusion cells dp contact each other as seen in wild-type. Successful fusion events do occur, taking 2-3 hours to complete track initiation instead of about 1 hour in wild-type. Microtubule tracks are absent in 73% of fusion cell pairs, and in the remainder, microtubules are often abnormally assembled.
