Expression of kek5Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP throughout the wing driven by either Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096, Scer\GAL4en-e16E or Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 prevents formation of the anterior crossvein (ACV) and results in decreased wing size. These phenotypes are highly penetrant. Scer\GAL4en-e16E driven expression of kek5Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP also causes the loss of the posterior crossvein in addition to the ACV.

Supernumerary scutellar bristles are induced in response to expression of kek5Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP driven by Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1.

Expression of kek5Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP under the control of Scer\GAL4CY2 in follicle cells has no effect on dorsoventral patterning of the chorion.

The ectopic crossvein phenotype in wings expressing sogScer\UAS.cYa driven by Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 can be suppressed by co-expressing kek5Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP.

The ectopic vein phenotype in the area where the anterior crossvein normally forms resulting from the Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 driven expression of gbbScer\UAS.cKa can be suppressed by co-expressing kek5Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP in the wing.

The wing patterning phenotypes resulting from the expression of tkvQ199D.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 with Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 are enhanced by the co-expression of kek5Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP, and there is an additional decrease in wing size.

The wing patterning phenotypes resulting from the expression of saxQ263D.Scer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 with Scer\GAL4ptc-559.1 are enhanced by the co-expression of kek5Scer\UAS.T:Avic\GFP, and there is an additional decrease in wing size.
