Site of nucleotide substitution in mutant inferred by FlyBase based on reported amino acid change.
lethal (with aPKCpsu265)
lethal (with aPKCpsu417)
viable (with aPKCpsu141)
Homozygous tracheal terminal cells show a reduction in branching compared to wild type. The mutant cells contain a normal gas-filled lumen running through each branch and show normal branch tip morphology.
Occasional aPKCpsu69/aPKCpsu265 and aPKCpsu69/aPKCpsu417 adult escapers are seen.
Embryos derived from homozygous female germ-line clones develop only scattered crumbs of cuticle.
The egg chambers of homozygous females show both multilayering and large gaps in the follicle epithelium.
Homozygous follicle cell clones show a normal monolayered tissue structure. Gaps are occasionally seen in the follicle cell epithelium.
Embryos derived from females carrying homozygous germ line clones produce just small pieces of cuticle and Filzkorper material. Homozygous females lay no eggs.
Embryos derived from females carrying homozygous germ line clones fail to produce a coherent cuticle.
