primary spermatocyte & nuclear chromosome
primary spermatocyte & nuclear chromosome (with Df(3R)by10)
The testes of topiZ3-3767/topiZ3-3767 adult males contain germ cell cysts up to and including mature primary spermatocytes, but few spermatocytes undergo meiotic division. The mature spermatocytes present in topiZ3-3767/Df(3R)by10 or topiZ3-3767 homozygous mutant testes resemble wild-type mature primary spermatocytes but have a more compact chromosomal morphology than wild-type primary spermatocytes in late G2, immediately prior to the onset of meiosis.
