fj+t24 partially rescues fjd1

Comments

One copy of fj+t24 partially rescues shortening of the wing and tarsal segment fusions seen in fjd1 homozygous animals. With 2 copies present, wing shortening is completely rescued and tarsal patterning is largely rescued, including restoration of the T2/T3 joint. Somatic clones lacking fj+t24 generated in a fjd1/fjd1 ; fj+t24 background in the eye cause non-autonomous polarity reversal in ommatidia on the equatorial side of the clone.
