        Even when provided with a growth advantage (by means of the Minute technique) Rhebunspecified mutant cells fail to generate large clones in the wing disc. Instead, these clones are characterised by extended thin branches. Smaller clones induced later, display an elongated shape.

        When somatic clones of Rhebunspecified homozygous cells are generated throughout the eye disc using Scer\FLP1ey.PN with P{neoFRT}82B, the resulting flies have small rough eyes. Eclosion is delayed by one day or more in Rhebunspecified animals compared to wild-type.
