      rauf04153 homozygotes or transheterozygotes with Df(2L)rauΔ or Df(2L)Exel6014 show a rough eye phenotype.

      R7 photoreceptor cells are frequently lost from rauf04153/Df(2L)rauΔ eye imaginal discs.

      rauf04153/Df(2L)rauΔ mutants show impaired glial cell wrapping in the optic stalk in larval eye discs.

      Many of the ommatidial axon fascicles in rauf04153/Df(2L)rauΔ eye imaginal disc optic stalks appear fused compared to wild type.
