Expression of ogreScer\UAS.cCa, via Scer\GAL4elav-C155, which expresses in all neurons from neural birth through adulthood, mediates partial rescue of ogre2 with on-transients that are approximately 57% that of wild-type and off-transients that are approximately 56% that of wild-type. Expression of ogreScer\UAS.cCa, via Scer\GAL4ogre.PC rescues the electroretinogram phenotype of ogre2 mutants, with on-transients that are 61% of wild-type and off-transients that are 72% of wild-type, compared with no transients in ogre2 mutants. Rescue is only consistently observed in light-adapted conditions. Expression of ogreScer\UAS.cCa under the regulation of Scer\GAL4unspecified leads to partial rescue of the ogre2 electroretinogram phenotype with on-transients rescued to approximately 65% and off-transients 58% of wild-type. When expression of ogreScer\UAS.cCa is under the regulation of both Scer\GAL4unspecified and Scer\GAL4ogre.PC, nearly wild-type transients are observed.
