        Heterozygosity for pontunspecified in dmPL35 eye somatic clones results in a decrease in the number and size of ommatidia compared to dmPL35 eye somatic clones. Heterozygosity for reptunspecified and pontunspecified in dmPL35 eye somatic clones results in a decrease in the number and size of ommatidia compared to dmPL35 eye somatic clones in a wild-type background and in reptunspecified or pontunspecified heterozygous backgrounds.
