Bre1Scer\UAS.fl expression, under the regulation of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 results in vein thickening and additional vein material only in males, while female wings are less affected, in some individuals appearing wild-type. These vein defects in male wings are rescued to an almost wild-type phenotype in Bre101640 heterozygotes. Ubiquitous expression of Bre1Scer\UAS.fl, under the regulation of Scer\GAL4arm.PS rescues the lethality of Bre101640 mutant embryos and sustains development to give essentially normal adult flies (with a few minor defects including slightly reduced bristles).
Bre1UAS.fl, Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 has wing vein phenotype, enhanceable by N55e11
Bre1UAS.fl, Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 has wing vein | ectopic phenotype, enhanceable by N55e11
Bre1UAS.fl, Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 has wing vein | ectopic phenotype, enhanceable by DeltaRF
Bre1UAS.fl, Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 has wing vein phenotype, enhanceable by DeltaRF
The vein thickening and additional vein material phenotype of flies expressing Bre1Scer\UAS.fl, under the regulation of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 is enhanced in N55e11 or DlRF heterozygotes.
Bre1Scer\UAS.fl is expressed in S2 cells to assess the effect of Bre1 on N-dependent transcription.
