Gpdh^Δ9-2 flies have a lifespan of less than 5 days. These flies possess ~6% lower triglyceride content than control flies, but show no significant difference in body weight. Gpdh^Δ9-2/Gpdh^Δ24-1 flies show a significant reduction in wing-beat frequency compared to controls.
