      PcafΔPcaf.Scer\UAS; Scer\GAL4da.G32 recues polytene chromosome acetylation in PcafE333st/Df(3L)sex204 animals. It also rescues survival of these animals to pharate adult or adult stage. Escaper adults die a few hours after eclosion with held-out, misshapen wings, kinked femurs, and rough eyes.
