Detailed Description

Embryos from transgenic flies with six copies of kuk+t.8.2kb exhibit very ruffled and abnormally shaped nuclei.

Flies with 6xkuk+t.8.2kb exhibit reduced viability and fertility (20% hatching rate).

The nuclear-morphology phenotype of kukEY07696 is complemented by a maternal copy of kuk+t.8.2kb but not by a zygotic wild-type allele.

Flies carrying 6 copies of kuk+t8.2 exhibit reduced viability and fertility (20% hatching rate).
