Expression of the Hsap\CDC73αTub84B.T:Ivir\HA1 transgene carrying the human homologue of hyx rescues the lethality of hyx1 and hyx1/hyx2 flies. Rescued flies how no obvious phenotypic defects. In contrast, a transgene carrying the yeast hyx homologue (Scer\CDC73αTub84B.T:Ivir\HA1) fails to rescue these mutants.
