Expression of IKKεScer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4sca.PU (in combination with a Gal80[ts] transgene to restrict expression to the adult stage) results in reduction in the number of sensory bristles, but the remaining bristles are morphologically normal, as compared to controls.

Mild overexpression of ik2Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4neur-P72 (using the temperature sensitive Scer\GAL80ts.αTub84B allele to overcome early lethality) results in thin, tapered bristles.
