sbbplt/sbbBG01610 mutants exhibit a wing vein phenotype wherein wing vein L5 fails to reach the wing margin, and males of these mutants also fail to copulate. sbbplt/sbbBG01610 mutant males exhibit significantly decreased courtship indices, and reduced incidence of licking and attempted copulation as compared to sbbplt/+ controls. sbbplt/sbbBG01610 males do not exhibit significantly decreased wing extension during courtship, as compared to sbbplt/+ controls. sbbplt/sbbBG01610 mutant males do not show any obvious structural anomalies in their external genitalia and associated muscles.
sbbBG01610 is homozygous lethal.
Heterozygotes show a significant effect on wing centroid size (using Fisher's method for combining probabilities). Heterozygotes show a direct effect on the shape of the wing.
