UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Expression of BEAF-32GD4418 results in: slightly rough eye phenotype (with the Scer\GAL4ey.PH driver) or ectopic wing material in anterior portion of the wing (with Scer\GAL4nub.PK) in adult flies. Expression controlled by either Scer\GAL4GMR.PF or Scer\GAL4en.PU has no overt adult phenotype. Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI-driven expression is viable.
Expression of BEAF-32GD4418 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 has no effect on male wing size or patterning.
Expression of BEAF-32GD4418 under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 has no effect on female wing size or patterning.
Adults expressing BEAF-32GD4418 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
Depending on the insertion line used, expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR can result in a weak flyer phenotype.
