10 day old flies expressing hwt^GD15014 under the control of Scer\GAL4^da.G32 show a small but significant increase in survival to acute starvation when raised under an ad libitum diet (5% yeast), but not when raised under dietary restriction (0.5% yeast), as compared to controls.

Flies expressing hwt^GD15014 under the control of Scer\GAL4^da.G32 have increased body mass when raised under an ad libitum diet (5% yeast) but not when raised under dietary restriction (0.5% yeast), and similar triglyceride levels in either dietary condition, as compared to controls.

Expression of hwt^GD15014 under the control of Scer\GAL4^{Act5C.Switch.PR} and treated with RU486 from day 1 of adulthood results in a small but significant decrease in lifespan if the animals are raised under an ad libitum diet (5% yeast) but not if raised under dietary restriction (0.5% yeast).

Expression of CG43921^GD15014 using Scer\GAL4^hs.2sev results in planar cell polarity (PCP)-abnormalities in ommatidia.

Scer\GAL4^en-e16E>CG43921^GD15014 induces multiple cellular hairs and vein defects in the wing.
