UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
The expression of Mrm2GD7303 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 leads to developmental delay, with few larvae progressive to pupae. Few adults eclose and most of which become trapped by the pupal case while emerging or immobilized on the food as they were too weak to escape. Adults show anterior thoracic indentations alongside deformed wings and flattened abdomen.
The expression of Mrm2GD7303 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR leads to severe locomotor impairment in negative geotaxis assays.
Adults expressing CG11447GD7303 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
