Expression of GlosGD17786, together with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency, is lethal at both 25[o]C or 29[o]C if driven by Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL, Scer\GAL4da.G32, Scer\GAL4how-24B or Scer\GAL4c179 and significantly reduced at both temperatures or just the higher one if driven by any of the following: Scer\GAL4RapGAP1-OK6, Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407, Scer\GAL4elav-C155, Scer\GAL4G7 or Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR. Without the UAS-Dicer2, the expression of GlosGD17786 is completely lethal at both temperatures only with Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL and lethal at 29[o]C but with some flies surviving at 25[o]C with the Scer\GAL4da.G32 driver. Adult viability is not strongly reduced if GlosGD17786 is controlled by Scer\GAL4RapGAP1-OK6, Scer\GAL4insc-Mz1407, Scer\GAL4elav-C155, Scer\GAL4G7 or Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR whereas Scer\GAL4how-24B- or Scer\GAL4c179-driven expression leads to partial lethality (especially at 29[o]C).

The climbing as well as flight ability of flies expressing VletGD5216 (with UAS-Dicer2) under the control of either Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR is strongly reduced compared to controls.

Adults expressing CG2371GD5216 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) show significantly reduced avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Adults expressing CG2371GD5216 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) show no significant change in the kinetics of high temperature (46[o]C) induced paralysis compared to control flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in bristle morphology defects on the notum in 0% or 30-40% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain, depending on the insertion line used.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in the absence of 0% or 10-20% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237-expressing area of the notum, depending on the insertion line used.
