UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
The expression of CG32579GD15912 under the control of Scer\GAL4He.PZ leads third instar larvae showing a decreased number of circulating (but not resident) hemocytes, which aggregate in the larval posterior; the hemocytes show decreased membrane elasticity (increased tension and increased Young's modulus).
Adults expressing CG32579GD15912 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
