Reference

Expression of trpm^GD4541 under the control of Scer\GAL4^AB1 results in a reduction in size of the salivary gland cells, while the size of fat body cells is unaffected.

Mitochondria in salivary glands of animals expressing trpm^GD4541 under the control of Scer\GAL4^34B are fused to form long tubular structures (in wild type they are seen as individual bullet-shaped structures).

Adults expressing Trpm^GD4541 under the control of Scer\GAL4^elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2^Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
