UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Focal dopamine application onto dorsal fan-shaped body neurons leads to hyperpolarization and suppresses spiking in controls, as is also seen in Scer\GAL4GMR23E10>sandGD1866 neurons; however these neurons have a defective OFF switch during prolonged dopamine applications. Scer\GAL4GMR23E10>sandGD1866 flies sleep significantly more than parental controls.
Adults expressing CG8713GD1866 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
