Macrophages isolated from larvae expressing Fhos^GD10435 via Scer\GAL4^Hml.Δ display strong defects in cell flattening and spreading.

Following a laser-induced wound in the pupal wing, macrophages in Fhos^GD10435 Scer\GAL4^Hml.Δ mutants are still able to respond and migrate to wound sites, but their speed and direction of migration are impaired.

Adults expressing Fhos^GD10435 under the control of Scer\GAL4^elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2^Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
