Detailed Description

Expression of Gyc76CGD48 RNAi under the control of either the Scer\GAL4A9 or the Scer\GAL4hh.PU driver results in partial or complete loss of posterior crossvein in adult wings and a blistering phenotype when the Gyc76CGD48 expressing (under Scer\GAL4hh.PU) flies are kept at 28[o]C. Expression under Scer\GAL4hh.PU also leads to widening of the wing vein L5, which is not observed when the RNAi is expressed using the Scer\GAL4dpp.3.7XK driver.

The disruption of the posterior crossvein characteristic for flies expressing Gyc76CGD48 under the control of Scer\GAL4A9 is not improved by co-expression of any of the following: tokScer\UAS.cSa.T:Ivir\HA1, cvEP1349, cv-2Scer\UAS.T:Hsap\MYC.T:SV5\V5,T:Zzzz\His6, cv-2EP1103, sogScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1, neither by the pairwise combinations of sogScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1 and either cvEP1349 or cv-2EP1103 but it is rescued by triple co-expression of sogScer\UAS.T:Ivir\HA1, cvEP1349 and cv-2EP1103.
