Expression of VAChTGD3054 under the control of Scer\GAL4Tab2-201Y does not induce any eclosion defect.

Expression of VAChTGD3054 under the control of Scer\GAL4dimm-929 does not affect sensitivity to (S,Z,Z)-CH503 (a more potent stereoisomer of the gustatory sex pheromone CH503). As in wild type flies, courtship defects are seen in response to (S,Z,Z)-CH503.

Adults expressing VAChTGD3054 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 results in external sensory organs consisting of empty or multiple sockets in 40-50% of the Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 expression domain of the notum.

Expression of VAChTGD3054 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu causes either lethality or locomotory and flight defects, depending on the insertion of the the P{GD3054} transgene.
