Expression of htlGD84 under the control of Scer\GAL4SPARC-MI00329-GAL4 results in reduced number of ensheathing glial cells in the developing antennal lobes, alters the pattern the ensheathing glia follow to wrap the antennal lobe glomeruli and disrupts the glomerular compartmentalization during pupal development.

Expression of htlGD84 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mz97 in third instar larvae leads to wrapping glia of the eye disc exhibiting significantly shorter processes, with fewer processes present in the lamina, as compared to wild type.

Expression of htlGD84 driven by Scer\GAL4how-24B (but not Scer\GAL4elav.PLu) significantly reduces the number of boutons per muscle at the neuromuscular junction of third instar larvae, compared to controls.

Evoked excitatory junction potential (EJP) is significantly increased (there is no significant difference in miniature EJP amplitude, quantal content or mEJP frequency) at the NMJ of Scer\GAL4how-24B>htlGD84 third instar larvae, compared to controls.

Adults expressing htlGD84 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) show significantly reduced avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in late larval lethality.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in sarcomeres with discontinuous Z-lines in the larval body wall muscles.

bdlEX2/+ or co-expression of bdlScer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG does not modify the wrapping glial extension phenotype seen in third instar larvae expressing htlGD84 under the control of Scer\GAL4Mz97.

Co-expression of htlGD84 enhances pupal lethality in Scer\GAL4how-24B>SmndsRNA.C.Scer\UAS.WIZ flies (and vice versa). Co-expression of htlGD84 enhances (further reduces) the reduced number of boutons per muscle at the neuromuscular junction of in Scer\GAL4how-24B>SmndsRNA.C.Scer\UAS.WIZ third instar larvae (and vice versa).
