Expression of shakBGD12666 under the control of Scer\GAL4ey-OK107 in adults does not significantly affect 3 hour aversive olfactory memory or the residual anaesthesia-resistant memory (ARM) after cold-shock, compared to controls; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4VT000765 also does not affect ARM, compared to controls.

Expression of shakBGD12666 under the control of Scer\GAL417d, the split-GAL4 pair of Scer\GAL4DBD.R41C07 and Hsap\RELAAD.R13F02, the split-GAL4 pair of Scer\GAL4DBD.R89B01 and Hsap\RELAAD.R13F02, or the split-GAL4 pair of Scer\GAL4DBD.R14C08 and Hsap\RELAAD.R12C11, does not affect visual short term memory following training with pain stimulus in adult flies, compared to controls.

Expression of shakBGD12666 under the control of Scer\GAL4tj.PU (along with expression of UAS-Dcr2 to increase RNAi efficiency) does not cause sterility.

Expression of shakBGD12666 in both the anterior paired lateral (APL) and dorsal paired medial (DPM) neurons in the mushroom body (using the Scer\GAL4GH146 and Scer\GAL4c316 drivers simultaneously, and in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase RNAi efficiency) has no effect on 3 hour memory after associative conditioning.

Adults expressing shakBGD12666 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.

Depending on the insertion line used, expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR can result in embryonic lethality or undefined lethality.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in grossly normal larval body wall muscles.

Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4Mef2.PR results in sarcomeres with discontinuous Z-lines in the larval body wall muscles.

The accumulation of lipid droplets in glial cells in the vicinity of adult photoreceptor neurons expressing ND-42ninaE.GD6220 is not suppressed by either Scer\GAL454C-driven (glial) or Scer\GAL4elav.PLu-driven (neuronal) expression of shakBGD12666.
