      trol knockdown through expression of trolGD7744 under the control of Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI results in more compact looking imaginal discs, with sections showing elongation of cells in the apico-basal axis. in addition, the central nervous system shows signs of hyper-constriction, with vesicles of tissue herniating from the ventral nerve cord.

      Adults expressing trolGD7744 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.PLu (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to increase the efficiency of RNAi) do not show a significant defect in avoidance of noxious temperature (46[o]C) compared to control flies.
