Insertion within an intron located between two coding exons, in the appropriate predicted reading frame to fuse the GFP exon in the inserted construct to the endogenous protein.
The number of germline cells per egg chamber is reduced compared to wild type in Cp1CC01377 females in which the "tag-mediated loss of function" method has been used to knock down expression of the Cp1 gene (the females express either Avic\GFPdsRNA.shRNA.Scer\UAS.P\T.1 or Avic\GFPdsRNA.shRNA.Scer\UAS.P\T.2 under the control of Scer\GAL4nos.UTR.T:Hsim\VP16 which produce shRNA that targets the Avic\GFP-tagged Cp1CC01377 transcript). Apoptosis is not triggered in the germline in these females. A high frequency of apoptosis is seen in these females, mostly in cystocytes in region 2 of the germarium, but also at later stages of oogenesis.
CtsL1CC01377/Cp1[+] is a suppressor | partially of visible | adult stage phenotype of MitfUAS.cZa, Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1
CtsL1CC01377/Cp1[+] is a suppressor | partially of wing | adult stage phenotype of MitfUAS.cZa, Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1
The small underdeveloped wing characteristic for adult flies expressing MitfScer\UAS.cZa under the control of Scer\GAL4dpp.blk1 is significantly suppressed by combination with a single copy of Cp1CC01377.
