        Muscle migration towards tendon cells is normal at stage 14 in Tsp8R embryos. At stage 16, however, muscles are aberrantly rounded and tend to form aggregates. In addition, the muscles do not extend between their corresponding sr-expressing tendon cells. This phenotype is present in all muscle types of stage 167 embryos and is more severe in late stage 16. Tsp8R/Df(2L)BSC9 transheterozygotes also show this muscle phenotype.
