Description

Consists of dec-1 genomic DNA, except that the 0.73kb ApaI-HincII genomic fragment has been replaced with a 260bp ApaI-HincII fragment derived from a dec-1 fc106 cDNA. The construct contains 1.9kb 5' flanking DNA and 1.0kb of 3' flanking DNA.

      The sterility of dec-14 homozygous females is partially rescued by dec-1fc106; homozygous dec-14 females carrying two copies of dec-1fc106 lay eggs that hatch at approximately 60% the frequency of wild-type controls.

      The sterility of dec-14/dec-129 females is rescued by dec-1fc106.
