      Wing size of biΔP2-P3w hemizygotes is slightly reduced compared to wild type. The distal wing blade appears to be more affected than the proximal. Vein fusion is not observed in biΔP2-P3w hemizygotes. At least one large ectopic bristle is observed with high penetrance on the ventral side of the distal tip of vein L3 in biΔP2-P3w adult wings.

      In biΔP2-P3w mutant larvae, overgrowth occurs at the dorsoanterior margin of the wing disc at the level of the presumptive wing hinge and an ectopic furrow forms along the anteroposterior boundary of the wing pouch.
