Homozygotes and transheterozygotes with Ten-acbd-KS171, Ten-acbd-KS96 or Ten-acbd-2254 show a disrupted ellipsoid body and fan-shaped body within the central complex of the brain.

Transheterozygotes with Ten-a900 show a disrupted ellipsoid body and fan-shaped body within the central complex of the brain.

Ten-a900 homozygotes and hemizygotes display eye roughness. Consistent features include ommatidial order defects, ommatidial fusions, eye sensory bristle loss, and occasional supernumerary sensory bristles.

FlyBase curator comment: the lethal phenotype described in FBrf0204395 for Ten-a900 has been removed from the allele report in FlyBase, as FBrf0218896 indicates that this phenotype is not due to an effect on Ten-a, but is due to a second-site mutation.
