Expression of DATKK100046 (along with UAS-dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency) driven by Scer\GAL4elav.PU results in significant hyperactivity and sleep loss (particularly at night), compared to control flies. In constant darkness, Scer\GAL4elav.PU>DATKK100046 flies show equally significant increases in activity and decreases in sleep during both the relative day and night.
