The expression of IntS8^KK102901 under the combined control of Scer\GAL4^wor.PU, Scer\GAL80^ase.PN and Dicer-2 (for an efficient RNAi) generates ectopic type II neuroblasts within type II lineages in the larval brain.

The clonal expression of IntS8^KK102901 under the control of Scer\GAL4^erm.PU induces ectopic neuroblast-like cells (Dpn-positive, Ase-negative cells), as compared to controls.
