Expression of KrnKK107190 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav.Switch.PO from immediately after hatching onwards (using mifepristone to control the timing of expression) results in significantly reduced olfactory learning ability in third instar larvae. These larvae show normal gustatory preference responses to fructose and to quinine.
