UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Expression of SKKK107699 under the control of Scer\GAL4109(2)80 or Scer\GAL4ppk.1.9, in combination with a Dicer-2 transgene to enhance RNAi efficiency, in larvae significantly reduces the latency to escape behavior following noxious heat stimulation, compared to controls.
The expression of SKKK107699 under the control of Scer\GAL4221, in combination with Dicer-2 for efficient RNAi, results in third instar larval class I abdominal dorsal multidendritic ddaD and ddaE neurons exhibiting dendrite branch misrouting, as compared to controls; expression under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.PG, in combination with Dicer-2 for efficient RNAi, results in no obvious dendrite morphology defects in class IV abdominal dorsal multidendritic ddaC neurons, as compared to controls.
