UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of an inverted repeat.
Third instar larvae expressing Arpc1KK108277 (together with UAS-Dicer2 to enhance RNAi efficiency) under the control of Scer\GAL4ppk.1.9 display hypersensitive behavioral response (shortened latency till response to 42[o]C thermal probe stimulus) in a thermal nociception assay. Arpc1KK108277 RNAi expression also leads to significantly decreased dendrite coverage in the ddaC dorsal multidendritic neurons compared to controls.
Scer\GAL4tj-NP1624-mediated expression results in holes in the cyst epithelium only detectable after stage 2 - the cyst is not covered by epithelial cells.
Clonal follicle cells expressing Arpc1KK108277 are apically constricted, and adherens junctions appear jagged between mutant cells and between mutant and wild type cells. The phenotypes are most pronounced in stage 11 or older egg chambers.
Co-expression of Arpc1KK108277 does not enhance the adherens junction phenotype seen in follicle cell clones expressing α-CatGD8808.
