      Down-regulation of cpa, through expression of cpaGD7009 under the control of Scer\GAL4Hml.Δ, induces microspike-like protrusions and a dramatic increase in actin filament assembly at the base of lamellipodia.

      Expression of cpaKK108554 under the control of Scer\GAL4hh.PU results in overgrowth of the expressing region of the wing disc, particularly in the presumptive hinge region; overgrowth is characterised by increased proliferation (BrdU incorporation) and extra folding of the disc, but no alterations in cell polarity.
