Expression of Sirt1KK109370 under the control of Scer\GAL4Hand.PU leads to significantly reduced heart period, diastolic period, systolic period, and fractional shortening whereas it leads to significantly increased diastolic dysfunction index and systolic diameter while it does not lead to any changes in diastolic diameter when compared to young control adults.
Expression of Sirt1KK109370 under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155 results in significantly decreased sedation sensitivity to acute ethanol exposure in naive flies, and a significant decrease in sedation tolerance when repeatedly exposed to ethanol, as compared to controls. Restriction of expression to adulthood with the use of a Gal80[ts] transgene does not affect these phenotypes, but restriction of expression to developmental stages fails to produce any phenotype in sedation sensitivity or tolerance as compared to controls.
Expression of Sirt1KK109370 under the control of Scer\GAL417d results in significantly decreased sedation sensitivity to acute ethanol exposure in naive flies, and a significant decrease in sedation tolerance when repeatedly exposed to ethanol, as compared to controls, however, expression under the control of both Scer\GAL417d and Scer\GAL80Mef2.mb247 does not produce these phenotypes. Expression of Sirt1KK109370 under the control of Scer\GAL417d also results in reduced conditioned odor preference associated with ethanol intoxication.
